CONCERT DETAILS
Dress Rehearsal - August 1st, 6:30 - 9:30pm

CONCERT ATTIRE
For the concert on August 2nd we will be wearing concert black. It does not need to be fancy, just a solid black top and pants/skirt or a dress will be great. If you have a black choir dress you wear for a different choir, you are welcome to wear that.
CONCERT FORMATION
We will not be using risers for our concert and so we are going to be really crafty with our placement on the chancel (stage) There are two rows in the back that are deep enough to have people stand two-deep and staggered, and we will also have a standing row on the floor. However, if all the singers enrolled this semester sing at the concert, we will need to create a row of sitters.
If you would prefer/need to sit for the concert, please contact Mandie McMurdie at summerwomenschorus@gmail.com. I could use 16-18 volunteers to sit. We can have people sit on chairs, as well as have an in-between row of people perched on counter-height (24") stools. Please be aware that if you are one of the sitters, you will need to sit the entire time for visibility reasons.
MUSIC LIGHT
The lighting on the stage in the evening is a little hard on the eyes, so please feel free to bring a clip-on book light. They can be purchased on Amazon for around $10-15, or you can find them at Target as well. Just please be aware of the people around you when using the lights to avoid blinding others.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
DONATION TABLE
We could use a few non-choir people to help accept clothing donations at the concert. They will need to arrive at 7pm and help accept and keep donations organized. If you know anyone who can volunteer, please contact Mandie McMurdie at summerwomenschorus@gmail.com
USHERS
We are looking for a few non-choir helpers to arrive at 7pm and pass out programs, and help people get seated. Please let me know if you have a family member or friend who might be interested. Adorable kids are welcome to help as well.
PHOTOGRAPHER | VIDEOGRAPHER
We would like to have a high-quality audio and/or video recording of this concert. If you know anyone who has expertise in this area and might be available to record for a reasonable price, please contact Mandie McMurdie at summerwomenschorus@gmail.com.

Summer Women's Chorus would not be possible without their willingness to share their space with us. CONCERT CLOTHING DONATIONS
At the concert we will be accepting donations of new and gently used black shoes, and solid black clothing and socks to donate to students in local music programs who can't afford concert-appropriate clothing. Youth sizes 10+ and all adult sizes will be accepted of the following:
Black button down dress shirts (mens and boys sizes)
Black slacks (mens and boys sizes)
Black polos (all genders/sizes)
Black tops, blouses and cardigans (ladies and girls sizes)
Black skirts (ladies and girls sizes)
Black pants and leggings (ladies and girls sizes)
